The light tower of Collioure has an unusual shape and the fortress built by Vauban is very impressive, especially if you walk around its high walls. The hills surrounding the town offer splendid views.

Port charlotte is an old fihser port on Islay with an old, not working Whisky distillery. The houses are very nice, mostly painted white with coloured frames. The people are very kind ( I stayed in the Distillery House B&B owned by Graham and Marie-Ann, they explained me a lot about theculture and living conditions on Islay).
A speciality is Whisky marmalade with a hint of Scotch Peat! Delicate!

Collioure in Southern France is a nice small own with a great forest and splendid seascape.
Entering the small town of Bowmore (rather a village) on Islay. The distillery offers fine Single Malt Whisky, the coast and landscape is fascinating for hiking and fishing.

Blue and clear water can be found at Iona, the small holy iisland near Mull in Scotland. Close to this island which provides a nice small abbey you can also find famous “Fingal’s Cave” which Mendelssohn turned into very nice music:
